I am Nicole Williams and I look forward to being of service on your journey to meet your personal goals.

My Journey

Born and raised in Hawaii I moved to southern New Mexico in 1995. While there I attended New Mexico State University earning a bachelors degree im Secondary Education, a masters degree in Special Education, and post secondary work in Educational Management. After graduating with my bachelors I began working as an educator and spent for 17 years as a special education teacher, with focuses on those with significant cognitive, emotional or behavioral issue that impeded there access to education.  Next I moved up in position and became a legal compliance officer for my school district  Those responsibilities included approving IEP’s, checking IEP’s for legal compliance, training special education teachers, regular education teachers, and administration on the rights of students with disabilities and the school districts in providing supports and services to students. I was a lead behavioral management person for the district as well.  This involved being responsible for district policies in response to challenging behaviors, developing BIP’s, training on concepts of behavior creation and reinforcement and behavior management, and representing the school district in manifestation hearings.

I moved to Colorado in 2016 and retired from teaching in 2017 due to debilitating auto immune disease. I spent most of the next two years primarily bed bound. I suffered significant depression not being able to work, take care of my family, or even take care of myself. I refused to let myself be swept into the depression that was surrounding the change in my existence. I started going to therapy, reengaged with my behavioral training, started studying meditation and Buddhist concepts, and generally trying to find various methodologies to dealing with my new reality. In this journey my therapist introduced me to Intrinsic Motivational Coaching. Through a combination of mental training, proper medication regime, and medical interventions my health has made continuous improvements to the point that I could turn my attentions to what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I enrolled in school to achieve my certification as a Certified Intrinsic Motivational Coach. I decided what I really wanted was to use a combination of my education and experiences to serve others. That is what led me to found this business. I hope you will allow me the chance to serve you.

What about outside of the job?

Work and education doesn’t tell us everything we need to know. Just as important when dealing with interpersonal relationships is finding the right match in personalities. So let me tell you a little about me. As I mentioned before I was born and raised in Hawaii and I am fortunate enough to be married to my best friend, teenage boyfriend, and the love of my life. At the same time I retired from education he retired from the Air Force and we have been there to support each other as we have moved on to our second careers. We have 5 daughters and one son ages 13 to 26. We are also the proud grandparents of 8 beautiful grandchildren. We also have numerous pets including dogs, cats, fish, and turtles.

When not working I enjoy creative arts. I am a painter, a gardener, and do numerous crafts such as crochet, epoxy art, paper twirling, and cake decoration. I am also an avid foodie and cook. I love music, black and white movies, and documentaries. I love to travel and see new things. Most of all I like helping others and getting to know people in all their uniqueness and diversity. I hope to get to know you as well.
